Find out what's on in and around St Albans for you and your young children. We've tried to list all the one off family fun and child friendly events in the area, that are suitable for babies, toddlers, preschool & reception children but if you can think of others please let us know. We always appreciate any suggestions of things to do in the area.

Sat 6th March - St Albans NCT Mother's Day Market
Malborough Road Church Hall,St Albans, AL1 3XQ - 10 am until 1pm. £1 per family ticket on the door. 
Gorgeous gifts for you and the mums in your life. The Mother's Day Market is the perfect place to find a present for your Mum or Mother-in-law as well as for yourself. On the day you will find lots of presents to buy, the opportunity to make or personalize your own gifts. Pamper yourself at the market or pre-book some relaxing time.

Sat 13 March - Make a Mother’s day gift - Stockwood Discovery Park  
11am – 12.30pm & 1pm – 3.30pm

Make a special present to give to your Mum on Mothering Sunday. Design your own picture frame and pop a lovely photo inside. We will provide a cardboard frame, which you can decorate with paint and glitter. Have fun
using decorative materials like beads to give it a unique look which you can surprise your Mum with on her special day. Bring along a favourite family photo to frame, or make sure you know the size of the photo (no larger than  15cm x 8cm).

Sat 20th March - The Baby Heart Charity Ball - Town Hall

The ‘Baby Heart’ Black Tie Charity Ball will be held on Saturday 20th March at St. Albans Town Hal, Market Place, St Albans, AL3 5DJ in order to raise money for The Royal Brompton heart hospital.

Champagne reception, hot buffet dinner, live band, charity raffle and silent auction

7.30pm Dress: Black tie      Carriages: Midnight Ticket price: £35.

Sunday 21 Mar -  A Science Week activity for all the family - Mill Green Museum
The first day of Spring and the garden is waking up after winter. Come along, plan what you are going to grow and look for mini creatures hiding in all sorts of places. Examine kick samples from the river bed, find out what plants attract bees and follow the tree trail in the museum garden.

A tiny boat, a little lost man and the great wide ocean. How did he get there, how can he get home, and why do those fish keep biting him on the bottom? Singing whales, pestering pirates and a multitude of deep sea creatures swim to the surface in this fantastic aquatic adventure, featuring puppetry, physical comedy and just the odd squirt of water.
