Our top tip for free activities is to visit your local library. Apart from the obvious reasons for wanting to take your young children under five to the library, many run 'Baby Rhyme Time' and 'Storytime' sessions and the best part is that it's free!
Also your child can collect a sticker for each library visit under the Bookstart Bookcrawl scheme, once they have 4 stickers they receive a certificate!

Why not visit your local garden centre with your children, admire the plants, see the animals, look at and test the climbing frames, buy some seeds and maybe have a coffee and cake. Ok so not entirely free but certainly a thrifty hour or two to be had.
