 WebsiteJolly Bookworms is a pre-school activity class based around children’s books. We love books and we want your child to love them just as much as we do, which is why all of our parent/carer and child classes are packed full of fun activities to keep your little bookworm happy. Each class is based around a popular children’s story and provides a variety of fun and interesting things to do – colouring, make & do, a selection of toys connected with the story – so that every child has the opportunity to explore the story’s themes or characters in a way that they can enjoy. Each class also features the ‘sound of the week’. Based on synthetic phonics, the system that is widely used to teach our children to read in primary schools, our ‘sound table’ introduces your child to a new sound each week. Of course it wouldn’t be Jolly Bookworms without story time when we all sit down together and read the week’s featured story.
